|MRI Cardiac Perfusion
This comprehensive exam can evaluate left ventricular function, morphology, viability and perfusion all within a 1 hour period for chest pain syndromes in patients who have intermediate probability of coronary artery disease (CAD) and certaining the physiologic signicance of indeterminate coronary lesions.
|Exercise Treadmill Test
An Exercise Treadmill Test is an electrocardiogram that is recorded while you are exercising on a treadmill (a running machine). If you get chest pain, breathless or feel uncomfortable when you are physically active, this test can help to tell if your symptoms are caused by Coronary Heart Disease.
An electrocardiogram, or ECG, records the rhythm and electrical activity of your heart. Some people have an ECG before having an operation, others have one as part of a routine health check-up, with a view to detect underlying heart conditions such as atrial fibrillation.
An ultrasound is a picture of the heart which shows its structure and how it is working. A pulse of high frequency (inaudible) sound is transmitted through the skin of the chest by placing a recorder (probe) on the chest wall. The device picks up echoes of the sound waves as they bounce off the different parts of your heart to form an image of it.
Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in men and women in the United Kingdom and worldwide. Lung cancer accounts for over 30% of cancer deaths in men and 25% of cancer deaths in women. More women die as a result of lung cancer than breast cancer.
Colorectal (bowel) cancer is the second biggest killer in the developed world, but survival rates soar to over 95% when diagnosed early. It is described as “one of the easiest cancers to cure if caught on time” by Bowel Cancer Research. Our scans can help you prevent colorectal cancer by detection and removal of its precursor, the colon polyp.
An image disc and a copy of your full report signed off by a specialist consultant radiologist will be provided to you within 24 hours of your scan.
